The "Friends of Agnes Falls" care for the Agnes Falls Scenic Reserve, in South Gippsland, near Toora, help to publicise the Falls, and share suggestions for further developments and improvements at the site.
The Agnes Falls Scenic Reserve is located in South Gippsland, Victoria, Australia, not far from Wilsons Promontory, and is the ideal location for a picnic and a great day out.
The falls are one of the highest single span falls in Victoria, plunging 59 metres into the gorge below.
The grounds are under the management of Parks Victoria, and Entry to the Reserve is free.
If you are going to have a picnic then please BYO portable BBQ unit if you plan to cook, your own drinking water, and be prepared to take your rubbish home with you as no bins are provided.
Well-behaved Dogs on leads are welcome, but do "pick up" after your dog.
There is a large picnic shelter on site, as well as outdoor picnic settings, and a unisex toilet block.
According to Parks Victoria the Reserve was established June 1984 (although it has been a popular area to visit since the late 1800s and early 20th Century!) and covers an area of 5.7 ha.
The "Friends of Agnes Falls" is a community group helping to care for the Reserve through occasional Working Bees (under the auspices of Parks Victoria), help to promote the falls, and aim for further improvements in the Reserve for the enjoyment of all visitors. Fundraising Open Days, complete with a sausage sizzle, refreshments, souvenir items, and a raffle, are held several times each year on site in the picnic grounds.
