Starts: Monday, 20 May 2024
Ends: Monday, 20 May 2024
The ACT Courts and Tribunal is throwing open its doors during Law Week 2024 to promote further understanding of the law, the Courts, and its role in society. In 'You be the Judge', be part of a simulated bail hearing. What is bail, and how and why are people given or denied it? Come along and learn how a judicial officer makes a life-changing decision. Would you come to the same conclusion? Visitors can also join an educational court tour, or visit the exhibition of local justice organisations showcasing how they support the local community. The ACT Court's Canine Support dogs will be on site as part of the exhibition. Bookings are required so please visit the website for more information.
