Yorke Peninsula's Saltwater Classic is a flagship event for enthusiasts and admirers of wooden and classic craft that have been faithfully restored to keep afloat some of the great traditions of boat building.
The biennial event attracts boat owners and crews to display their vessels in the waters off the sister towns of Stansbury and Port Vincent.
Since its inception in 2003, the event has grown to become a major attraction in the region with the support of the South Australian Tourism Commission, Yorke Peninsula Tourism, local businesses and communities.
The next edition of Yorke Peninsula's Saltwater Classic will be held in April 2026.
Meet boat owners and crews and get a close-up look at vessels along the foreshore in Stansbury on the Saturday morning before the craft are launched for the run to Port Vincent in the early afternoon. In Port Vincent, the fleet will be on display in the marina on Sunday morning before more parades in the bay.
Supporting the on-water spectacles will be vibrant seaside markets, entertainment by the Royal Australian Navy Band, displays of vintage cars and motorbikes, stationary engines from the past, local art, crafts and regional produce .
