After more than thirty years Apollo Bay’s Warm Winter Words literary event, is delivering another great program to appeal to all readers. This year’s theme is Crisis and Hope. The program kicks off on Friday with a children's event with authors Zana Fraillon, Jordan Gould and Richard Pritchard. That night, a riotous Poetry and Pies event is fun for all who enjoy spoken word with some well deserved beverages, pies and pastries. Saturday includes three literary sessions and the ever-popular local de(bay)te: Session One. Emerging authors Kgshak Akec (shortlisted for the Miles Franklin award), Rijn Collins and Anna Kate Blair Session Two. Crime writer, Margaret Hickey and Zana Fraillon popular youth fiction author Session Three. Miles Franklin award winner Shankari Chandran Saturday evening: the annual De(bay)te The festival concludes on Sunday with a writer's workshop facilitated by Margaret Hickey and a session for book clubs hosted by Rijn Collins at the local library.
