Now the home of Dandelion Vineyards Wonder Room, Firehawk Farm is a 60-acre property perched atop an ancient ridge that overlooks McLaren Vale, the Willunga Escarpment, and the Gulf of St Vincent. The native bird of prey, the Firehawk, patrols the vineyards, keeping other birds, rabbits, and grape-eating animals at bay. Beneath the surface, there’s limestone and ironstone, while the 40 acres of vines include Grenache, Shiraz, and Petite Sirah. At this special event, Elena Brooks will guide you through the farm’s unique geology and biodynamic practices while you enjoy the stunning views and exceptional wines. Experience a memorable afternoon of Firehawk Farm wines while savouring a 5-course lunch prepared by distinguished chef, Chris Bone. Throughout the afternoon, Elena Brooks will share the rich history of Dandelion Vineyards, offering insights into the vineyards, the region and the wines that have made the winery renowned. This lunch will feature the Treasure Trove of McLaren Vale Grenache, Faraway Tree of McLaren Vale Grenache, Firehawk of McLaren Vale Shiraz, Moonrise Kingdom of McLaren Vale Shiraz Grenache Petite Sirah and the Midnight Rainbow of McLaren Vale Petite Sirah. To keep this event as intimate as possible, there are only a limited number of seats available.
