Wilderfeast

Starts: Saturday, 17 August 2024
Ends: Saturday, 17 August 2024
Season-wise, we're at a crossroads. Soon we'll be wearing short sleeves, putting sprouts on everything, and generally feeling a spring in our step - but for now, there's still a heavy chill in the air. Our young folk will open the show with a magical lantern parade. Our local crew will honor our Island produce to help celebrate the last week of winter. You’ll experience local fare that’s not just delicious but an entirely plausible replacement for the sun exposure we have so sorely missed for the past few months. An Art Auction on the night will feature creations by our talented local artists, with all money raised supporting our local Furneaux Community Arts. We’ll dance the night away with Well Strung! The only thing you’ll need to bring is your dancing shoes. A much better idea is to wear them. Let your imagination run wild and put together an amazing costume! Draw inspiration from pagan traditions, the earth and all its elements, or the changing seasons. Think greenery, sticks, feathers, fur, and leather... Join us for a night of enchantment and celebration!

COMMON TIMES

New to Common Times? Here's our Quick Start Guide to help you.

Common Times acknowledges the traditional owners, first storytellers and custodians of the land we live on. We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their ongoing connection to land, sea, and community. Their sovereignty was never ceded.
