Wentworth Show

Starts: Sunday, 25 August 2024
Ends: Sunday, 25 August 2024
The Wentworth Show offers a fantastic family day out for visitors and locals alike, showcasing the charm of country living. In the magnificent new Wentworth Showgrounds Community Pavilion, you will find displays of cookery, preserves and produce, floral art, fine arts, photography, needlework, and school exhibits. The Feast for the Senses food and wine marquee will feature a diverse range of tastings and sales. The event includes horses in action, sheep and wool displays, a ute competition, shearing contests, and sheep and yard dog trials. There will also be trade exhibits and sideshows. This year, two new competitions, the Farmers Challenge and Battered Hat competition, have been added to enhance the fun of the Wentworth Show. Children will enjoy a treasure hunt, as well as the animal nursery and Meccano display. Other highlights include Junior Miss Showgirl, whip cracking, and the popular dog jumping event, all contributing to the unique atmosphere of this country show, complete with traditional show rides and food vans. The Wentworth Show is one of the nation’s few remaining authentic country shows, maintaining its rustic, rural flavour in a relaxed atmosphere while catering to a wide variety of tastes. Don't miss the major attractions: Rob Bast Sculptor, Dinkum Dinosaurs, and Mr. Spin, a physical comedian and world-class juggler. For more entry information, please visit the website.
