In recent journeys to the ‘Top End’ and the ‘Red Centre’, this country revealed some of its majesty to the artist. In this exhibition the breadth of work is therefore her sensual and intuitive response to this unearthed material world: the bright intense light, the rich layered textures of rock-face and desert, the sinuous winding of lush waterways, the nuanced colour, the flight and movement of birds and animals, seasonal change as well as the land’s deep spiritual nature, all are referenced here. The land’s layered timelessness is unearthed.
