Soak up the creative atmosphere of a working pottery studio and join the studio community of makers. Work under the tutorage of artist Carys Martin to learn the techniques and tricks to creating in clay and to explore the different surface decoration options. You will be given a wheel thrown form, that Carys has prepared for you, that you will use as the basis for your treasure box. Carys will then show you the techniques of how you can work with this to create a base and a lid that has a gallery and a lip. You can then hand build onto this piece to make it your own. During the 2 hour workshop you will learn the steps to build your piece and you can decorate it using under glazes and tissue transfer.
