Deep Blue DNA Fishing Competition, 10-45 Parkyn Parade Mooloolaba.
DBDNA Fishing Competition will be an outdoor, all-ages, family-friendly, drug and alcohol-free event and will run on the 5, 6, 7th of March ( Friday, Saturday, Sunday) 9am – 9pm.
DBDNA Fishing competition will be a sustainably run event with the advice, rules, regulations, and knowledge of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries and other governing bodies held as a TOP priority.
The event grounds will host 50+ stalls ranging from fresh food and snacks to fishing merchandise, The event will be entirely free to the public, only competitors will pay an entry fee.
DBDNA not only provides a platform to test ones skills against mates and fellow fishers alike in the form of a fishing competition with cash and prize giveaways and a publicly accessible event, but delivers a range of cultural ecosystem services through displays, entertainment, educational values, aesthetic values, knowledge systems, social relations, sense of place, recreation and more.
DBDNA will support employment of artists and workers in the events sector, as well as in connected industries such as hospitality, accommodation, transport, and freight. This will all contribute to rebuilding Australia’s economy, as well as enhancing community wellbeing and access to cultural experiences across SEQ.
