Tarryn Stokes

Starts: Sunday, 08 September 2024
Ends: Sunday, 08 September 2024
Powerhouse singer Tarryn Stokes captured the nations’ hearts on her journey to becoming the winner of The Voice 2023. Born into a musical family, Tarryn’s passion for singing was evident at a young age. Raised in the North Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, she honed her vocal skills in talent shows and community events, winning over audiences everywhere with her powerful voice. After becoming an in-demand backing vocalist for some of the biggest names in Australian music including Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy and Delta Goodrem, and performing in cover bands and as a solo singer, Tarryn’s big break came when she decided to audition for The Voice in 2023. She stunned both audiences and the judges in her blind audition, performing a soulful version of the Sara Bareilles hit, ‘She Used to be Mine.’ Week after week, Tarryn showcased her versatility, effortlessly navigating various genres and songs from Abba’s ‘The Winner Takes it All’ to Heart’s big rock ballad ‘Alone’ and Demi Lovato’s ‘Anyone’, leaving a huge impression with each performance. Behind the scenes, Tarryn’s dedication to her craft was unwavering but personally challenging as she came to terms with being in the spotlight – not behind it – as well as being away from her husband and two young children.
