Symphony Series 1 – Eternal

Starts: Saturday, 15 February 2025
Ends: Saturday, 15 February 2025
The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra performs an incredible program at the iconic Adelaide Town Hall for the first Symphony Series of the season. The perfect Valentine's Day date! Dark, lush strings and restless rhythms evoke the pulse of the night in Anna Clyne’s This Midnight Hour before Russian piano sensation Pavel Kolesnikov brings lyricism and beauty to Beethoven’s Fourth Piano Concerto. Then, surrender to the passion of Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet. The soaring strings and powerful brass will sweep the audience into the starcrossed lovers’ tragic tale. The evening culminates with Respighi’s Pines of Rome, where whispering winds and triumphant brass capture the grandeur and timeless beauty of Rome’s eternal city.
