The second tour concludes with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Grieving Mother statue. Discover the stories of soldiers, and a couple of nurses, by interactively participating in a random name drawing game to find their tree number and then placing a poppy beside their name on the Memorial Wall. Younger children can enjoy colouring activities, and a captivating photo display will capture the essence of the event. Research assistance will be on hand to help track family history or school connection inquiries. A free sausage sizzle from 11.30am to 1.30pm. This engaging family event celebrates the past, keeps history and stories alive, and emphasizes the significance of remembrance at the Arch of Victory and Avenue of Honour.
