Stitch in the ‘swich – June - Ipswich Civic Centre
Starts:
Friday, 24 June 2022
Ends:
Friday, 24 June 2022
MC comedian Anthony Lamond, brings comedy to Ipswich in the monthly Stitch in the ‘swich series.
June’s session welcomes Tom Seigert, Emma Zammit and local comedian Damien Johnson.
Tom Seigert burst onto the scene in the mid-2000s with a strong performance in the FHM search for Australia’s funniest man. He spent his early days on stage at The Comics Lounge, where he enhanced his reputation as a young gun of Australian comedy, supporting some of the best acts; including Dave Hughes, Fiona O’Loughlin and Jimeoin. Tom is now a star in his own right and has found a cult following with his YouTube sensation The Suburban Footballer.
Emma Zammit recently did the support act for Jimeoin whilst he was touring here in Brisbane. She began her standup comedy career in early 2008 after her sister decided it was time to move her one-liners out of the lounge room and enrolled her in a standup comedy writing course for the sake of family harmony.
Local comedian Damien Johnson may be best known for his work as the broody, moody and altogether dark alt-electro musician, DAMIEN, but every yin has it’s yang, and Johnson’s counterbalancing side takes the form of a wickedly playful and altogether irreverent sense of humour that will have you wondering how the two sides of his personality manage to live with himself.
