Join experienced basket makers Jilli and Anna for a creative weekend of fun and friendship exploring the art of basketry at this 2 day event in the beautiful town of Ross , Tasmania - recently nominated for Top Tassie Tourist Town 2024! You will be shown the different materials you can forage from nature and how to use these to make cordage through coiling , plaiting, twining and knotting then create your own simple vessel. Once mastered these techniques can be utilised for jewellery making, multi media, textiles and more ! This weekend is suitable for complete beginners to participants with prior knowledge.
