Special event as part of the 2024 Festival of the Lamb Guests meet at Penobscot Farm at 11am for an educational and interactive tour. They will discuss history, climate, permaculture design, organic and bio-dynamic farming as well as Ngadjuri land management. Special guest regenerative farmer and Watervale lamb grower Cameron Bond will discuss how similar agricultural practices help grow nutrient rich lamb. Guests will transfer to the Watervale Hotel where the 2022 SA Chef of the Year Nicola Palmer will present a five course lunch featuring lamb, and matched to Italian varieties grown in the Clare Valley. A mocktail match is also available as an alternative to wine with mocktails built on Warndu indigenous teas and Penobscot Farm juices, syrups, vinegars and garnishes. The Watervale Hotel was awarded '2023 and 2024 Best Culinary experience in a Hotel Restaurant' by LuxLife Magazine in the UK. This tour was awarded 'The Excellence in Food Tourism Award' by the Tourism Industry Council of SA in 2022.
