Starts:
Sunday, 24 November 2024
Ends:
Sunday, 24 November 2024
The Southeast Aboriginal Arts Market, curated by Wiradjuri and Kamilaroi artist Jonathan Jones, returns to Carriageworks on Gadigal Country this November, showcasing the creative diversity of Southeast Australian Aboriginal art.
Over two days, 32 independent Aboriginal artists and collectives will showcase thousands of traditional and contemporary artworks for sale, including ceramics, jewellery, weaving, carving, textiles, photography, painting, and prints.
This is a unique opportunity to meet the artists and learn about Aboriginal cultures across NSW, ACT, Victoria, the Murray–Darling basin, and Tasmania, with 100% of proceeds going directly to the artists.
In addition to the market, join a free public program of workshops and talks including:
A walking tour with curator Jonathan Jones
Cultural weaving and traditional leatherworking workshops
A bush medicine demonstration
Admission is free, but places for live events are limited—register early to secure your spot.
