Following last year's runaway success, Sleeps Hill Tunnel returns in 2025; an exclusive opportunity to explore a hidden part of Adelaide’s history. Be immersed in mesmerising projections and installations that share the tunnel’s history from its steam train era to mushroom farm years. Wander through this 377-metre long tunnel to discover a spectacle of lights and visuals across the tunnel walls that deliver a narrative of time and place, including: Collages of newspaper clippings, archive film and historical artefacts supplied by the History Trust of SA and the State Library of SA Soil projection piece ‘The World Beneath our Feet’ by The Barbican Forest bathing projections of mushroom time lapse footage by Steve Axford, Cath Marciniak and Neil Bromhall Fluorescent ‘Glow in the Dark Mushroom World’ by Clare Guerin An ‘Infinite’ tunnel of mirrors, projections, light and music by Innovation Partner, Novatech ‘Transcendent’ drone footage by SA creative production studio, Watchpost.
