The Young Australian Broadway Chorus is back these July school holidays with Shrek The Musical JR, returning to Melbourne for a limited season only at the Cripps Centre, St Kilda East. This musical reimagining of the much-loved, Academy Award winning film Shrek, featuring a supremely talented cast of emerging performers, will enchant and delight adults and children alike with its hilarious characters, dazzling costumes and show stopping musical numbers. Shrek The Musical JR is the young performers’ adaptation of the Tony Award and Drama Desk Award: Shrek The Musical. With music by Janine Tesori, and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire, Shrek The Musical JR is based on the story and characters from Willian Steig’s 1990 book Shrek!, as well as the DreamWorks Animation film Shrek, the first instalment of the movie series.
