Sharon and Slava Grigoryan are, separately, two of Australia’s finest classical musicians performing works for cello and guitar. Individually, they have performed at the very top level of the international and Australian classical music scene. Together, they are a powerhouse of virtuosity and exquisite musical expression. From Classical gems by Vivaldi and Granados to contemporary compositions, including their own creations and arrangements, this concert promises to illuminate beloved favourites in a fresh, captivating light. The repertoire boasts the rich sounds of Bach/Marcello’s Concerto in D minor, Assad’s Jobiniana No. 4, and Piazzolla’s Histoire du Tango, among other spellbinding pieces. Suitable for all ages, the Pavilion opens its doors an hour prior to the show to welcome audiences with a beverage surrounded by towering gum and a symphony of birds.
