Seasonal Message Stick Making - School Holiday Activity

Seasonal Message Stick Making - School Holiday Activity

Starts: Saturday, 05 October 2024, 10:00 am
Ends: Saturday, 05 October 2024, 12:00 pm

The season is turning and with it everything is bursting into life! Come and join us on one of the most ancient of rituals : the making of your own magical message stick to take home. Your message stick can be big or little, wrapped or painted, but in all cases - magical! By exploring the beautiful grounds of Heidi we will learn nature knowledge about all the local plants and animals, which can be incorporated into our message stick. Many indigenous cultures make message sticks to remember and to mark journeys and transitions. This craft is soothing and helps us embrace our surrounds while getting creative.

Facilitated by experienced Nature Educators Dee

Suitable for children 3 - 10 y/o.

Parents are responsible for their children at all times and are encouraged to participate in the fun!

This school holiday program is an all weather outdoor session so participants need to make sure to bring weather appropriate protection. In the event of inclement weather the program will be either shifted to an undercover location. Cancellation will only occur in the event of extreme weather warnings: fire, strong winds, storm or high temperatures.

Book in via Humanitix, see link in side panel.
