Scribble Cat Studios - Drawing Classes for Beginners

Starts: Sunday, 03 November 2024
Ends: Sunday, 03 November 2024
Would you like to learn how to draw what you see? In this class you will explore various techniques to capture the essence of what you observe! You can relax and unwind with short, guided drawing warm-ups, followed by long and sustained poses or still life subjects. With the help from your experienced tutor, you will get the chance to explore the power of observation, the main principles of drawing and how to create compelling compositions. This class will cover: The core principles of drawing and how to create compelling artwork; How to consider shape, form, proportion, texture, and value; Expert methods for realistic drawing; How to use drawing as a solid foundation for future artworks; How to train your observational skills; How to draw in a relaxed, energetic, and confident way. You will get the opportunity to draw from a range of references: still-life scenes, nature, and models. Through demonstrations, exercises, and one-to-one tuition, you will be supported in developing your observational drawing skills. In their small sized, casual classes, you can experiment with diverse materials and work on your own individual ideas and projects. This class runs regularly, and the class sessions are not connected to each other, which means you can book a session (or several sessions) whenever it suits you best.
