Sanctuary Series 2 - Symmetry

Sanctuary Series 2 - Symmetry

Starts: Friday, 02 August 2024
Ends: Saturday, 03 August 2024
This unique concert experience will reveal every detail of the music with unparalleled clarity and depth. Sit or recline on a yoga mat as the ASO guides you on a peaceful journey in these one-hour events performed in near darkness. Ruo’s A Dust in Time was inspired by the circular patterns of the mandala, and his hypnotic melodies evoke the symmetry of this deeply spiritual symbol. String lines are stretched to fill space and time in Vasks’ meditative Voices of Silence, then a rich cello melody will sweep you away in Tabakova’s Longing. David Sharp is generously supported by Dr Aileen F Connon AM.

New to Common Times? Here's our Quick Start Guide to help you.

Common Times acknowledges the traditional owners, first storytellers and custodians of the land we live on. We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their ongoing connection to land, sea, and community. Their sovereignty was never ceded.
