A celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and culture from the Mid North Coast, showcasing contemporary art and cultural artefacts from the Worimi, Biripi, Dunghutti and Gumbaynggirr nations that make up the Saltwater Freshwater region. The Saltwater Freshwater Arts exhibition and award takes place every two years. It encourages a sense of ownership of mainstream gallery spaces by Aboriginal people, instilling pride in having their culture promoted and celebrated by the wider community. This project is supported by the NSW Government through Create NSW
