Six artist friends will be exhibiting new works in a broad range of mediums, celebrating the individual artists' response to the theme. The six artists are Carol Baxter, Marg Hage, Kerrie Head, Tanya Hunter, Merryn Marshall and Julie Anne McEwen. The wide horizons theme has given them the opportunity to expand their horizons and let go of the idea of what is to be created, allowing them to enjoy the process and tap into their artistic intuition. It's all about sensing, feeling and listening to art. Creating art allows communication on a deeper level, which words often cannot—firstly, finding an individual and personal connection within and daring to seek the stillness within. We challenge each artist to respond to the theme, think outside of the ordinary and celebrate individual responses and creativity. There will be artist talks, workshops, a tour and an exhibition.
