Mark Reconciliation Day with a family friendly event at Commonwealth Park! Starting with a free community breakfast, witness a traditional Smoking Ceremony and Welcome to Country before heading off to the numerous free activities available around the grounds. Join in on a language workshop, hear some traditional storytelling or take part in one of the many arts and crafts workshops. This family friendly event showcases Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, food, music and entertainment as part of National Reconciliation Week celebrations. Reconciliation Australia’s theme for 2024 is 'Now More Than Ever'. Be part of the conversation and activities and learn about shared histories and cultures, to gain a deeper understanding of the national story and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture in this special Canberra community event.
