Rachel Porter SALA Art Exhibition - Lambert Estate

Rachel Porter SALA Art Exhibition - Lambert Estate

Starts: Sunday, 28 July 2024
Ends: Wednesday, 02 October 2024
Lambert Estate is proud to host Rachel Porter, as our 2024 SALA exhibiting artist. Rachel's exhibition 'Resonance' explores the intriguing dimensions of sound, studying its shape in both two and three dimensional forms. Rachel's artist statement is below; Resonance Inspired by a dream, where music and sound created interesting shapes, both 2d and 3d, 'Resonance' was born. Memories of strange Moog music from my childhood, took a 3d shape. I ran with this idea, finding fascinating discoveries along the way. Chladni boards, light displays and sound waves inspired my work. Working in sculpture, acrylic paint on canvas, perspex and watercolour, I've attempted to depict the images I've envisaged, supported for the exhibition by QR codes, which add an extra element to the experience. Music has always meant a huge amount to me, so the conjunct between both art and music worked beautifully. I hope you enjoy it too! Exhibition dates: 25th July 2024 to 2nd October 2024
