Piermont East Coast Retreat (Beaker Street Festival)

Starts: Monday, 12 August 2024
Ends: Tuesday, 13 August 2024
Welcome to Piermont, where tranquillity meets nature’s embrace in an unspoiled bay along Tasmania’s stunning east coast. Surrounded by breathtaking wilderness and underneath some of the darkest skies in the inhabited world, you are invited to join us for an unforgettable two-night retreat. Enjoy dinners with scientists featuring local produce prepared by chef Calvin King, telescopes and guided stargazing on the beach with the Astronomical Society of Tasmania, breath workshops, cold water swimming, tours, tastings, and much more. The perfect way to unwind and refresh at the end of the Festival. Select from Piermont’s cosy stone cottages to the architecturally designed residences, with options to suit 1-3 couples. Piermont is offering 25% off accommodation for participants. The below is included in the ticket price: Two candlelit dinners with talks by scientists, featuring local and seasonal dishes and including a welcome drink and a warm cocktail by the fire at the end of each evening. Generous breakfast provisions to enjoy in the privacy of your own accommodation, A morning talk on the science of happiness, A guided tour of Sea Forest, a world-first seaweed farm dedicated to reducing CO2 emissions in the livestock and dairy industries, next door to Piermont Telescopes and stargazing on the beach with the Astronomical Society of Tasmania, Live music by legendary east coast singer-songwriter Ange Boxall & cold water ocean plunge.
