The Pearl Beach Arboretum Ephemeral Art Trail (PBEAT) aims to create inspiring temporary public art that promotes nature conservation, supports community identity and increases the cultural vibrancy on the NSW Central Coast. Creating the unexpected is a key objective.
It is held within the Crommelin Native Arboretum - an award-winning natural botanic garden open to the public. The Arboretum is run by a community not-for-profit organisation that aims to promote and encourage nature conservation at Pearl Beach and elsewhere. The Arboretum, established in 1976, is a sanctuary spanning 5.5 hectares for local flora and fauna, including some threatened species.
