Peace Kitchen

Starts: Thursday, 29 August 2024
Ends: Thursday, 29 August 2024
Peace Kitchen leverages the communal power of food to foster understanding, empathy, and connection. This event promises an evening of meaningful dialogue, connection and culinary delight, all facilitated by the renowned peace-builder, Dr Elaine Pratley. The evening's topic will be: Finding Hope Amidst a World of Conflict, with the guiding question: How can you be a beacon of light and hope in a world where intolerance and violence are rampant? Dr Pratley, the founder of Peace Kitchen and a Rotary Peace Fellow with a PhD in Peace and Conflict, will guide you through interactive discussions aimed at exploring how you can be voices of hope in communities and workplaces. The evening includes a two-course meal (plus snacks) and mint tea, crafted with care, along with opportunities for connection and exploration of how food can be a catalyst for peace and meaningful change. Come to be encouraged and to explore how you can have a positive impact on the world.
