National Sorry Day

Starts: Friday, 24 May 2024
Ends: Sunday, 26 May 2024
National Sorry Day is a day to acknowledge the strength of Stolen Generations survivors and reflect on how everyone can all play a part in the healing process for all people and the nation. While this date carries great significance for the Stolen Generations and other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, it is also commemorated by Australians right around the country. After consultation with community, Wagga Wagga's Sorry Day commemoration will be held on the 24th May this year. Please join them.

Common Times acknowledges the traditional owners, first storytellers and custodians of the land we live on. We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their ongoing connection to land, sea, and community. Their sovereignty was never ceded.
