Wagga Wagga Marketplace, in collaboration with RIVMED, is launching NAIDOC Week 2024 celebrations. Join the celebrations during the first week of the July School Holidays to honour First Nations culture under the theme “Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud & Proud.” This theme highlights the enduring strength and vitality of First Nations culture, symbolised by fire's deep connection to Country, community, and traditions. Event Highlights: Welcome to Country: An official ceremony by local elder Aunty Joycelan Dreamtime Story and Craft Program Community Mural: Contribute to a community artwork representing traditional Aboriginal art. The event is free, but registration for the Dreamtime Storytelling Workshops is recommended due to limited space. Celebrate NAIDOC Week and immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of the First Nations peoples. Let’s keep the fire burning together!
