Be entertained by the magic this Ballarat Heritage Festival, as The Little Brass Band bring your music favourites to life, with their wonderful arrangements for Brass Quintet. The Little Brass Band an award-winning Goldfields Region Brass Quintet present a range of Music Styles from Traditional Jazz, Swing, Classical and ‘Everything’ in between, with their own unique twist! The music of The Little Brass Band is based around the five-part harmonies and melodies of the vocal lines within a choir. The Little Brass Band utilize various combinations of instruments to create the sound effects and timbres to suit the music. Musicians: Frank Dyer – Trumpet and Piccolo Trumpet. Claire O’Brien – Trumpet and Flugel horn. Janice Lynn – French horn. Cassandra Hiscock – Trombone. Alan Williamson – Tuba. The Flugel horn and Piccolo have been added in the line-up to give variation to the sound landscape and provides a rich tapestry of colour.
