The Moura Coal & Country Festival is an annual event which celebrates the Coal capital and all it has to offer. 2024 marks the 52nd anniversary of the festival which keeps getting bigger and better every year. Festival Friday fun includes sideshow ally, market/food/trade stalls, official opening followed by a performance by the Moura School of Ballet. Following on from this is the Bulls n Bronc’s – with action packed bull and bronc riding entertainment and licensed bar and music until late. Saturday’s activities kicks off with the street procession. Check out all the great machinery from the community and all the local legends! Other activities include hands on wildlife experiences, roving entertainment, market/food/trade stalls, emergency services display, kids entertainment including laser skirmish, petting zoo, face painting, best dressed dog comp, cattle show stud, side show alley, Tug O’ War, Excavator challenge, QLD titles for coal shovelling and roof bolting and local motorbike free ride. To finish off a fantastic weekend – take in the fireworks and laser show with live music and licensed bar until late!
