The Port Lincoln Cup is the premiere thoroughbred racing event on the Eyre Peninsula. Held annually in late February/ early March at the Port Lincoln Racing Club, it is a major event for the region, attracting a crowd of thousands of locals and intra/interstate visitors for the day and adjunct weekend. The three-day itinerary of the Cup Carnival includes twilight races on Wednesday, February 26, a golf competition, and the beloved Calcutta on Thursday, February 27. These events lead up to the major event, the 2025 Port Lincoln Cup, on Friday, February 28.
