The Blue Lotus Water Garden is one of Australia's most spectacular seasonal gardens each year. The garden holds two floral events including the famous Lotus Flower Season. Visitors will experience the world’s most extensive collection of lotus flower varieties which produce millions of huge flowers spread over 14 acres of water gardens. Highlights include Lotus Lake and Lotus Wetlands with thousands of blooms each day, creating a virtual sea of flowers in every direction. The gardens has many other amazing natural attractions including the Giants of the Amazon featuring one of the world's largest waterlily species, Victoria Cruziana. The lily pads can get as big as a dinner table (1.5 metres in diameter). Other featured attractions include: Tropical World Complex and Kakadu Lagoon, Cochrane's Lake and Bridge Walk, Dragons Trail, River Walk and Bird Watching, Flower Fairy Garden, Lotus Lake and Wetlands, and World of Waterlilies Walk. The gardens contain extensive picnic and barbecue facilities, alfresco café and garden kiosk, disabled amenities, three kilometres of walking trails and dozens of ornamental bridges, ponds, lakes, fountains and waterfalls. It's a great day out for everyone.
