‘Look Up’ by QArt Studio

Starts: Friday, 09 August 2024
Ends: Saturday, 21 September 2024
Artists with disability capture the profound moments that unfold when you disconnect from your phones and engage with your surroundings. ‘Look Up’ is a group exhibition that traverses the artists’ unique perspectives on the challenges and joys of navigating life beyond the screen. From the intricate details of the natural world to the nuances of human interaction, ‘Look Up’ illuminates the importance of real-world connection and the transformative power of looking beyond your devices. The Town Hall Gallery at Hawthorn Arts Centre presents 2024’s second season of the Community Exhibition Program. The series of solo and group shows reflect the inner-East’s art community and its creative ecosystems. The program operates a dedicated gallery space, with the staff of arts professionals offering free curatorial support, mentorship and career development to local artists. Since the Community Exhibitions Program was established in 2013, it has presented well over 2,500 artworks produced by more than 670 artists.
