The Light of the Hill is an annual event to commemorate the birth of Bathurst’s favourite son, Ben Chifley in 1884. The function is an opportunity for the guest of honour to outline their vision for the future – their Light on the Hill. The 2024 guest speaker is Hon Ed Husic, Minister for Industry and Science. Ed has represented the electorate of Chifley, in Sydney's west since 2010.
