This May, the Rare Trades Centre, CRAFT and the City of Ballarat present Craft Lab 24 celebrating their shared commitment to fostering and sustaining the exemplary craft practices of local and regional artisans. Throughout Craft Lab 24 the Rare Trades Centre is offering a series of curated experiences with artisans. Make your own lampshade with Alice Stewart from Maverick Workshop. In this half-day workshop, you will make a custom drum-style lampshade, using one of the many fabrics provided by Maverick Workshop. The lampshade will be both lamp and ceiling suitable. You will take your finished product home with you. Lampshade making kits will be available for purchase after the workshop, if you wish to make more lampshades at home.
