Weekly Art Classes for children and young people ages 5-18 years. Every Wednesday and Thursday after school. Bookable in five-week sessions or as one-offs. Activities for younger creators 5-12 yrs include: personal murals, self-portraits in boxes, drip painted butterflies, balloon bowls, string bowls, oobleck, rainbow rice, coloured salt sculptures, galaxy jars, nature bowls, full-body self-portraits, robot puppets, leaf drawings, stick buildings, alien nation, snow domes, doodle candle holders and much more! Projects for teens include personal murals and are very flexible, developing in response to students' interests. Students can be exposed to painting, sculpture and mixed media techniques. Students are also exposed to a wide range of artists' work. Classes are run by artist Mary Lou Pavlovic and are process-based and about developing individual artistic voices. The artist is a registered Creative Kids Provider, so vouchers are welcome Mary Lou Pavlovic holds a PhD in Visual Arts, an MA in Fine Arts and a BA in Visual Arts. She has extensive experience in teaching art to young people, having worked both as a lecturer at the Victorian College of the Arts and as an art teacher to young children. She has a Working with Children Check and a National Police Check.
