John Dermer is an Internationally awarded potter and member of the International Academy of Ceramics. John Dermer's work is represented in national, state and regional galleries throughout Australia, as well as major private collections and public buildings such as Parliament House, Canberra and the Federal High Court Building. John Dermer's work is only available from his studio gallery, which was established in 1974, making this the longest-established pottery in NE Victoria. Each year, on the last weekend of November John holds a major exhibition at his home gallery. During Easter, in 2017 such an exhibition event will celebrate its 40th year and John will celebrate his 50th year as a full-time potter. As well as exhibition work, a range of giftware is available. The gallery is situated five kilometres south of Yackandandah and is set in a beautiful garden with spectacular views across the Yackandandah Valley. Open most weekends and generally by appointment, please phone if outside the general hours.
