Looking for relaxing things to do in Melbourne? Join this costume jewellery with personal meaning workshop today! This workshop is all about slowing down, leaving your cares behind and being creative for four hours and spending some “you” time with like-minded people learning about creating your own personally meaningful jewellery. In this workshop, you will learn how to create your own hand fabricated jewellery using beads, chain, jump rings and clasps, possibly sawing, sanding and hammering your own meaningful discs from copper and brass to add to your piece. Creating your own personalised necklace is a therapeutic practice, where you match patterns, colours and textures or deliberately mismatch to create individual pieces of hand fabricated jewellery, either as a necklace and or matching earrings. An large array of materials will be provided and can include: Glass beads Copper discs (you decorate these) Wooden beads Polyclay beads Copper/brass and silver (all nickel free) chain Jump rings Clasps Leather You will have the option to : Saw, Cut, Wire wrap Stamp and more. and you will be working at a Jewellers desk to create your own pieces. You can bring some of your own beads and fittings. Note: For this class to proceed a minimum of two participants is needed and the maximum is four participants.
