At just 23 years old, Korean Jeonghwan Kim won the prestigious 2023 Sydney International Piano Competition.
Critics described his performance as ‘utterly compelling.’
He is known worldwide as a musical force to be reckoned with. Kim began playing the piano at the age of six and has since won numerous national competitions. He was admitted to the Seoul Arts Center Academy for Young Talented Musicians at just nine years old and moved to Berlin at the age of 11. He has performed with the Konzerthaus Orchester Berlin, with the Aarhus and Odense Symphony Orchestras, and has given concerts in major halls in Berlin, Weimar, Hamburg and Aarhus, among others.
This recital is a great opportunity to witness the performance of a young and talented pianist who has already made a name for himself in the world of classical music. The concert will feature works by Mozart, Chopin, Alkan, Schumann and Bartok.
