Come learn the basics of woodworking with artisan Tim Schloss - perfect for beginners and their kids! Introduce your young off-sider to the basics of woodworking with artisan Tim Schloss in this shared workshop experience designed for two-person teams of youngsters and adults. So one price - two participants! In this two-day workshop you will learn how to use traditional hand tools to prepare, shape and complete a simple wood object. The skills you will explore include: - Milling and jointing - Sawing and planing - Drilling , gluing, and clamping; - Shaping, sanding and finishing. All of this good work will go into creating a unique Adventure Sword essential to the imaginary quest of every young person. Suitable for young people 10+. All participants under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult. Held at Ballarat's Australian Centre for Rare Arts and Forgotten Trades, a world-class facility dedicated to learning and preserving Australia’s rare arts and trades through a series of workshops, masterclasses, events, and residencies.
