Hidden Gems - Open Artist Studios

Hidden Gems - Open Artist Studios

Starts: Sunday, 24 November 2024
Ends: Sunday, 24 November 2024
The Hidden Gems group of artists from the Ballarat region open their studios to the public several times during the year. The studios are within 10 minutes of each other - making this an enjoyable mini-arts trail. The Haddon studios of Vida Pearson/Fred Ross, Stella Clarke and Kate Wise are all close together and then it’s a short 10-minute drive to Steve Drew Pottery, Sylvia Aguirre, Rosie Grundell and then Red Echidna Studios at Smythes Creek and another five minutes to Raintree Art in Cambrian Hill. The Hidden Gems artists' studios are open twice a year, giving them a rare opportunity to connect with art lovers and show their skills in their chosen mediums. With a diverse range of subject matter and styles the studios offer printmaking, artisan furniture, sculpture, painting, ceramics and Aboriginal art. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore the Ballarat region with the added bonus of some really interesting artists to chat with and some wonderful artwork to view. Please check the website for which studios are open, as this can vary.
