Showcasing the technique and skill from members of Hervey Bay Spinners, Weavers and Fibre Artists Inc. inspired by the theme of Traditional Textiles in the 21st Century. The works presented are in the form of weaving, spinning, knitting, felting and stitching using a large range of fibres and yarns like wool, silk, alpaca, cotton, linen, tencil and natural fibres like raffia and banana. This exhibition will show how traditional textile and fibre work is adapted to and has its relevance and use in present day society.
