Hal & Bacharach - The Hit Makers

Hal & Bacharach - The Hit Makers

Starts: Saturday, 31 August 2024
Ends: Saturday, 31 August 2024
A thoughtful and heartfelt homage to the chart-topping songs of Hal David and Burt Bacharach, both responsible for one of the greatest American songbooks of the 20th Century Widely considered one of the most successful partnerships in music history, Hal David and Burt Bacharach began their collaboration together in 1957 after meeting in New York City's legendary Brill Building. Within twelve months, their songs had entered the U.S. music charts. By 1961, following their collaboration with pop star, Dione Warwick, they enjoyed a string of number one hits. The duo continued to create music together until 1973, when they parted ways and continued to sustain successful solo careers, often co-writing with other songwriters. An exceptional 7-piece live band, together with three incredible vocalists, Renae Suttie (Kitty Kats), Chris Herden (Good Morning Vietnam, Music from the Vietnam War Era), Ella Macrokanis, and Jake Bristow will pay tribute to these legendary hit makers in an afternoon filled with expertly and lovingly delivered songs.
