The Gunnedah Bird Sale and Expo has been running for over 25 years and has grown to be one of the biggest Bird Sale events in Australia. The Sale showcases over 3,000 birds and exhibitors are there to sell. Numerous trade stands sell products from seed, aviaries, nest boxes, cages, books, medications and many other bird-related items. A must for the bird enthusiast, the Sale and Expo has canteen facilities and a coffee van on site. The Sale Pavilion doors open at 10am and a gold coin donation entry is asked. The Gunnedah Showground is located in the middle of Gunnedah off South Street and the sale is held at the Basketball Stadium and Griffiths Pavilion.
