The Clarence River Jockey Club at Grafton was founded in the same year that the first Melbourne Cup was held and only one year after the AJC opened its racecourse at Randwick. It has grown to become one of Australia’s most important country race clubs and the host of one of the major annual race carnivals outside the metropolitan areas. Come to Grafton to experience one of the greatest country racing carnivals held in Australia with five days of fabulous racing spread over 15 days in July each year.
