Glass and Jewellery Workshops

Glass and Jewellery Workshops

Starts: Thursday, 02 May 2024
Ends: Saturday, 31 August 2024
Three fun introductory workshops are available. The glass bead workshop involves learning to melt glass to create beads and then decorating them, before placing them in the kiln to anneal overnight. Using your creativity you will make at least six beads. This three-hour workshop is a one-on-one session. However, if you bring a friend you both receive a discount. The price includes all the glass you use in making beads and an afternoon tea featuring locally made sweet treats. In the cocktail stirrers workshop, you make at least six Swizzle Sticks with Italian effetre glass and millefiori inserts. Whilst making the stirrers, you can enjoy a mocktail and nibble on a cheese board of local cheeses. The class runs for two and a half hours. You will make at least six Swizzle Sticks to stir your favourite cocktails. In the jewellery workshop, you can use glass beads you have made in a previous workshop, or use glass beads made by Catherine or you can upcycle your own treasured beads. The price includes beads and findings for making one piece of jewellery. Additional pieces can be made during the class, with a fee to cover the cost of findings and beads you use in making additional pieces. Up to four people can participate in this workshop.
